The Cottage Lodge bed and breakfast was constructed in 1650 and boasts many original character and features. The bed and breakfast was built from reclaimed ships timbers (from the Kings Fleet at Bucklers Hard) and hand made bricks and sand. Now, in the 21st century, the cottage has been extended into a modern 12-bedroom bed and breakfast. Whether on a relaxing holiday, a romantic getaway or you are a business traveller, it is the perfect place to stay.

For those who love to horse ride, there are many bridle paths you can enjoy. We are located in the heart of the New Forest National Park, a 94,000 of open forest heathland. New Forest Ponies, pigs and donkeys wander freely about the forest. For a great day out, the train offers many opportunities for days out to the surrounding areas. And for those who wish to relax and enjoy a relaxing holiday, enjoy sitting in one of the fine eateries and watering holes in this area. You can even enjoy a leisurely game of golf or try one of the local Spa's.

We offer 12 wonderful ensuite bedrooms for you to choose from. We have three Superior Rooms, King William, with four poster bed Exbury and Wilverley, three standard ensuite room with a patio and six standard ensuite rooms. All rooms have been lovingly decorated to a very high standard and can be seen in more detail the Photo Gallery page of this site.
