Named after an old ship of the Line, Fortitude Cottage bed and breakfast overlooks the quayside at the heart of Old Portsmouth and is only 50 steps from the waters edge. Established forty five years ago, Fortitude Cottage enjoys an excellent reputation for providing welcoming and comfortable accommodation combined with quality. There are four prettily furnished bedrooms and immaculately maintained, each with TV and tea / coffee / hot chocolate / horlicks, making facilities, complimentry chocolates and biscuits are provided. Breakfasts are served in a bow windowed dining room with a view of the fishing boats and ferries. For lunches and evening meals, there is Gunwharf Quays and Spinnaker Tower, an excellent selection of tea rooms, bistros, restaurants and pubs all within a few minutes walk.

Directions

By Car From the M27 exit junction 12 "Portsmouth & Ferries" to the M275. Pick up signs for "Old Portsmouth, IOW Ferries" and follow. Then follow signs for "Old Portsmouth, Cathedral". Go past the Cathedral, you will be in the High Street which if followed to end takes you straight into Broad street and we are at the end number 51. By Train or Coach Disembark your vehicle and take a three minute taxi ride to Fortitude Cottage
