Welcome to Camellia Lodge, a delightful Bed and Breakfast located on the north western edge of the New Forest National Park, at East Wellow near Romsey,yet only 100yds from the forest at Blackhill Common. A newly refurbished bungalow, we offer homely, comfortable ground floor accommodation, set in beautiful gardens. We have ample off road, secure parking with electrically operated gates. Our central location allows you to choose between the bustle of the nearby cities of Southampton, Salisbury, Winchester and Bournemouth , the idyllic town of Romsey, or the peaceful, pretty villages for which the New Forest is renowned. We are ideally situated for Southampton Boat show & the Game Fair. Bikes are available, as is use of the games room (Pool & Darts). Whatever the season, there is no better place to stay!

There are many places of interest to be found within the locality and these include St Margeret's Church in East Wellow, the burial place of Florence Nightingale; the cathedral cities of Winchester and Salisbury; Beaulieu motor museum, house and gardens; Southampton with its excellent shopping and large port; and the Isle of Wight, lying just over the Solent. The New Forest is a walkers paradise with it's wonderful combination of scenery, heathland, ancient woodlands and picturesque villiages, with a multitude of wildlife and numerous species of birds.We have excellent fishing close by, fly&trout, within excellentlly managed fisheries, several good golf courses where non-members are welcome (booking advisable) ,paint-balling, horse riding, cycling & walking readily available,or why not experience something really different like Falconry.Easy access to Boat show & the Rose Bowl.

Camellia Lodge B&B offers one twin with private bathroom , this bedroom is our 'Poppy' room,furnished with the Dorma poppy range of bedding & curtains, a bright ,pretty room which looks out on to the garden, facing a carpet of Camellia's in early Spring.Our double bedroom has en-suite facilities, this room is our 'Chestnut Hill' room, again tastefully furnished with quality Dorma bedding & curtains, also facing on to the garden. Each room is complete with freeview TV, tea and coffee making facilities and a hair dryer. Prices are inclusive of a full English breakfast , cooked using locally farmed produce , free range eggs & home baked bread. A mouth watering continental breakfast or a vegetarian option is available on request, or you may have a breakfast of your own choice.The proprietress holds an up to date Level 2 award in food safety & catering.

Specialities

We welcome children over the age of twelve years. Dogs by arrangement for bookings of 3 or more nights. We are a gay-friendly establishment. Bikes are available ( bring your own helmet if required) and there is a games room with pool and darts. Strictly non smoking throughout. We are open all year round.
