Laramie is a lovely self-catering holiday home in the beautiful seaside resort of Shanklin, Isle of Wight. The holiday home occupies the ground floor of the property and is suitable for disabled guests. With a level walk up to the house and no stairs to climb inside, the owners of Laramie pride themselves on their disabled friendly attitude. Guests can feel secure at Laramie, with the added bonus of the owners living in the annexe (with side entrance).

Laramie is ideally placed for walks along the tarmacked cliff path which overlooks the beautiful Sandown Bay and links together the two resorts of Shanklin and Sandown. The path is only a two minute walk away from the accomodation. The beach is a short walk down from this path and Shanklin town is around a ten minute stroll. All the local restaurants and pubs are within walking distance. Laramie is situated on Howard Road, a quiet, residential cul de sac, so guests can be sure of a peaceful and relaxing stay. Laramie is extremely spacious and comfortable, and is decorated with good quality furniture and curtains. The lounge opens onto its own south facing private garden. Laramie is gas central heated and is fully carpeted. Parking is right outside the front door, perfect for those requiring disabled access.

Rooms Description

Laramie has two bedrooms. The first is a double room and is fitted with ample sized wardrobes. This room can be made more disabled friendly with the addition of a rising bed in order to provide comfort to guests. There is also a strong grab rail beside the bed and there is room for a lifting hoist if necessary (not supplied). The second bedroom is the largest of the two and has a double and single bed with lovely satin and cotton bedlinen and a small colour television.

Specialities

Guide dogs welcome, non smokers only. No charge for electricity or heating. Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided free of charge.
