Richard and Carol Wyatt welcome you to The Lake B&B. Our AA 4 star 'highly commended guest accommodation is set in the beautiful 'olde worlde' village of Bonchurch on the seaward side of the famous village pond. It still retains the charm of days gone by as well as a country house atmosphere. We are just 400 metres walk to the sea from our grounds. The House interior, of course, is totally non smoking. Smoking is permitted in the grounds.

Unchanged by time, Bonchurch is situated half a mile from Ventnor and three miles from Shanklin. Famous for its past literary residents, Dickens, Swinburne and Shaw, it also has the famous landslip walk starting in the village - and not forgetting the famous pond, a place to watch the ducks and fish lead their uncomplicated lives to the amusement of the visitors and holidaymakers alike. We have four comfortable lounges to relax in, bar, main lounge, a tv lounge and a sun lounge leading to the terrace. We can now offer 'In room holistic massage and pampering' and a range of professional treatments in the comfort of your room.

Rooms Description

All our rooms are en suite, mostly with a shower rather than a bath. All have large 322 flat screen tvs and coffee/tea making. All have nice outlooks to sea, village or downs.

Specialities

Our family has run the Lake for over 45 years and is presently run by Richard & Carol Wyatt and a bunch of friendly staff. You will find a friendly informal atmostphere with no pretensions but with an eye to comfort and service.
